We all have fear-based belief systems that get in the way of our desires. This is the most common block that comes up with my clients. They come from our experiences and things we internalize as children. They come from things we’re taught by our parents, society, our culture, and religion. In order to attract the things you desire in life, you have to learn how to clear those blocks.

I learned this technique last summer while taking Gabby Bernstein’s Spirit Junkie Masterclass and I fell in love with it. I use it (or some version of it) with all of my clients. It allows them to go deep and to really feel into those fears and stories so they can heal and transform them. After they always feel a sense of relief and are ready to invite in their desires.

So today I’m inviting you to give it a try. Have an open mind and an open heart. Be willing to release your story and see things differently. Be open to receiving everything you desire.

Grab a journal and pen and free write the answers to the following questions. This is not about being perfect, having all the right answers, spelling, grammar or anything else. Just write whatever comes to mind. No over thinking. Just be as radically honest as you can.

  1. What is the fear-based story from your past that is blocking you?
  2. In what ways does this story hold you back from stepping into your power?
  3. How does fear stop you from bringing in your desires?
  4. How do you compare yourself to others?
  5. How do you judge yourself?

 Now, I would like you to take a moment and think about your fear. Eyes closed. Think about the fears that you’re holding on to. What does it feel like? Identify in your body where you are holding onto that fear. Place your hand on that body part. Start to just feel it. Own it, hold it, feel it. Breathing into that fear, what does it feel like? Feel it. Take a deep breath in and hold it, and feel it. Go deeper. It is fine to cry, to be angry, whatever emotion comes up, just allow it.

This is the healing. Feel the fear. Feel it in your being. Feel it in your body. Feel it in your body fully – feeling it. Let it come. With every breath, deepen the feeling.

Let’s go bigger now, breathing deeper even more. Feel even more than you could possibly open up to. Open up even more. In the presence of that discomfort, in the presence of that fear, in the presence of that story open your eyes.

Turn right to your pen and paper. And just free-write. What is that fear? Where does it live in your body? Describe it. Where is it? What does it feel like? Get intimate with it. Give it a color. Give it a name. Give it a voice. Give it a place that it lives. Where did it come from? What does it feel like? Keep writing. Get it all on to the page. The more real you are and the more honest you are, the more you will heal. What does it look like? What does it sound like?

And as you write that last sentence, close your eyes. Breathe again into that fear.

Feel the feeling and the relief. Feel the release. Eyes closed. Hands on your heart.

Take one more deep breath into that feeling of that fear and hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it. On the exhale a cannonball breath through your mouth. One more deep breath in, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold. Squeeze it tight, hold it, hold it, feel it. Cannonball breath. One last time, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, cannonball breath.

Then say to yourself: “Inner guide, I surrender this fear to you. Thank you for helping me reorganize this limiting belief and restore it back to love. I surrender this.”

Hold the vision in your mind of taking that fear from your heart and handing it off to a beautiful ball of light. You see the fear dissipate. You see it disappear. You see it dissolve.

Then say “I ask that fear be recycled and reorganized. I ask that it be transformed. The alchemy transformed into golden light. Thank you inner guide for taking this fear from me and restoring me back to love.”

Take a deep breath in . . .  And release. And when you’re ready, open your eyes.

After you might find yourself raw with emotion, so just remember to be kind to yourself. Lots of self-compassion and self-care <3
