The way to find real lasting love is to fall in love with yourself first.
Here’s where women get it wrong…
We expect HIM to make us feel loved.
We expect HIM to make us feel beautiful.
We expect HIM to make us feel worthy.
We expect HIM to make us feel special.
All of the expectations we put on guys will only result in one thing…
I can make you one promise. You will never be truly happy in a relationship until you can be happy with yourself. Once you realize that no guy will ever make you feel complete or happy or beautiful, will be the day everything changes.
Make yourself feel loved. Make yourself feel beautiful. Make yourself feel worthy. Make yourself feel special.
When you invest in yourself with time, love and energy, it’s showing the other person that they need to invest in you too. It builds confidence and shows the other person that you’re not willing to settle for mediocre.
Here are some ways to start showing yourself some love:
Take some “me” time every day
This time is just for you to do whatever it is that makes you happy and feel good. It can be 5 minutes or 5 hours. You give your relationships time, attention, energy, and love. Do the same for yourself. Make an investment in YOU.
2. Celebrate your strengths
Most of the time we focus only on our weaknesses. It’s time to change that and start celebrating your strengths. What are you really good at? What’s your passion? What are your accomplishments? Celebrate them!
3. Play like a kid
Remember when you were a kid and you were totally fearless? You loved doing so many different things and didn’t give a damn if you weren’t any good at them? Think back to when you were a kid and what you loved to do. Now start doing that. I’m not kidding! When I was a kid I loved to color. I could sit for HOURS and color. So I bought myself some adult coloring books and I could sit for hours coloring and it makes me so happy!
Learning to love yourself is going to be the foundation for a healthy, happy, successful relationship. You can’t expect someone to love you if you don’t love you.
