10 Spring Date Ideas

Spring is finally here! There is light at the end of the cold and frosty tunnel.

For me, spring is all about a fresh start. There’s something in the air that makes me feel like myself and nature are coming alive again. The weather turns warmer, leaves and flowers start to bloom and the air feels fresh and vibrant.

As soon as this starts to happen, I feel a need to get outside, be in nature and clear out that old stale energy.

The best way to do that is to turn it into some fun spring dates. Including your partner in these activities helps to deepen your connection and enjoy each other’s company.

Here’s my list for 10 spring date ideas:

  1. Explore a botanical garden

You can’t think about spring without thinking about flowers blooming. Take a stroll through the gardens and explore all of the beautiful, colorful flowers.

  1. Go on a picnic

Pack a basket with some wine, cheese and fruit and set off. Bring a blanket and find a cozy spot to sit outside, enjoy the sunshine and each other.

  1. Clean out your closets

This might seem like an odd idea for a date, but spring is all about cleaning out the old to make room for the new. Go through your closets together and have a good laugh about that sweater grandma knitted for you 3 Christmas’ ago with the giant Santa head. Bag it all up and donate it to a local charity. It will leave you both feeling good that you did something for others and that you cleaned out all of that clutter.

  1. Plant something together

Working together to create something is the fastest way to deepen your bond.  If you have a local community garden, or even a garden in your home, take the time to decide what you want to plant and get to work. Then watch it grow!

  1. Explore a new town

With the warmer weather here, it’s great to get outside and explore. Pick a new town or city you’ve never been to and take a drive there. Walk around and explore what shops, restaurants, parks, etc. this town has to offer.

  1. Get to your local farmer’s market

This time of year there are a TON of new fruits and vegetables that are in season.  Explore your local farmer’s market and see what they have to offer. When you get home, cook a delicious meal together using your newly discovered finds.

  1. Rosé Tasting

Nothing says spring to me like rosé.  Right now is when all of the delicious rosé wines come out. Check out your local wine store or vineyard to see if any are doing a rosé tasting. Try some new rosé’s and take home your favorite bottle to enjoy together.

  1. Go on a bike ride

Another fun and active outdoor activity. Haven’t been on a bike lately? You know what they say…it’s like riding a bicycle, you never forget. Dust off that old bike and take it for a spin around your neighborhood or local park.

  1. Book a massage or Reiki session

Spring is all about cleaning out stale energy to make room for new vibrant energy. Massage or Reiki is a great way to clear out that stale energy, open up your chakras and get the new energy flowing. After you’ve had your session, you will both feel totally relaxed and ready for anything.

  1. Head to your local park

There are so many things to do in a large open space like a park. You can have a game of Frisbee, feed the ducks at the pond, go on a hike, explore the grounds or have a picnic.  Whatever you decide enjoy the day outside and get some vitamin D.
